Job description
WK Bossier Perinatal Unit is seeking an experienced registered nurse with at least 2 years of perinatal experience to provide comprehensive care to obstetric patients and their newborns throughout the childbirth continuum. The Labor & Delivery RN will provide care for laboring patients, routine postpartum mothers, and health newborns, along with assisting with antepartum patient management. The RN will circulate during deliveries; provide post-anesthesia recovery care following surgical births; collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, neonatal staff, and interdisciplinary team members. The RN will rotate through postpartum and nursery areas as needed to support patient care needs.
The unit adheres to AWHONN staffing guidelines, ensuring safe and supportive nurse-to-patient ratios. WKH is committed to your success. Experienced nurses joining our team will receive a comprehensive orientation program with dedicated preceptor support, individualized onboarding plans, and ongoing educational opportunities and clinical skill development. Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and S.T.A.B.L.E. are preferred but not required at the time of hire.
