Responsibilities
• The Physician Recruiter & Provider Relations Specialist serves as the dedicated recruitment and provider relations partner for assigned clinical departments and service lines.
• This position manages the full physician recruitment lifecycle while supporting provider onboarding, engagement, outreach, and long term retention initiatives.
• Working collaboratively with department chairs, physician leaders, operational leadership, and community providers, the Specialist develops recruitment strategies, builds strong provider relationships, and identifies opportunities to strengthen service line growth and patient access.
• The Specialist also supports provider reputation management through SocialClimb, conducts local and regional provider outreach, analyzes market intelligence and referral trends, and partners with leadership to develop initiatives that improve provider engagement, expand referral networks, increase patient volume, and advance the strategic objectives of the organization.
• Develop and execute comprehensive physician and advanced practice provider recruitment strategies that align with departmental workforce plans and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with department leadership to develop annual workforce plans, identify current and future physician and advanced practice provider staffing needs, and implement recruitment strategies that align with departmental and organizational goals.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, site visit coordination, offer development, onboarding, and transition to practice.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through physician organizations, residency and fellowship programs, conferences, recruitment firms, networking, and professional outreach.
• Provide recruitment market intelligence, compensation trends, candidate availability, and competitive market analysis.
• Coordinate interview itineraries and ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain recruitment metrics and prepare reports on search activity, candidate pipelines, and recruitment outcomes.
• Serve as the primary provider relations representative for assigned departments and service lines.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, department leadership, and operational teams.
• Support and implement provider engagement initiatives that improve provider satisfaction, communication, retention, and organizational culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve the provider experience from recruitment through long term employment.
• Collaborate with leadership to address provider concerns and facilitate effective communication.
• Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for newly recruited providers.
• Partner with Human Resources, Medical Staff Services, Credentialing, Faculty Affairs, Information Technology, Marketing, Compliance, and operational departments throughout the onboarding process.
• Monitor onboarding milestones and proactively address barriers impacting provider start dates.
• Facilitate provider introductions and integration into assigned departments and the organization.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned service lines in developing relationships with referring providers, community physicians, and healthcare organizations to promote clinical services and improve patient access.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional referring providers, physician practices, hospitals, employers, community organizations, and healthcare partners.
• Conduct regular outreach visits to physician offices and community organizations to strengthen provider relationships and increase awareness of USA Health providers and services.
• Coordinate physician presentations, educational programs, networking events, and outreach initiatives that support service line growth.
• Collaborate with department leadership to identify opportunities to expand referral networks, improve patient access, and increase patient volume.
• Analyze referral patterns, market trends, competitive intelligence, and community needs to support strategic growth initiatives.
• Lead provider reputation management initiatives utilizing SocialClimb to improve provider visibility, patient engagement, online reputation, and access to care.
• Monitor provider online reputation, patient feedback, and engagement metrics.
• Partner with providers and operational leaders to improve provider visibility, digital presence, and patient engagement.
• Develop strategies that strengthen provider reputation and support organizational branding.
• Serve as the primary Physician Recruiter and provider relations partner for assigned departments.
• Maintain a visible presence within assigned service lines through regular interaction with department leadership and providers.
• Participate in departmental meetings and strategic planning initiatives.
• Identify workforce challenges, provider engagement opportunities, referral development initiatives, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop solutions that support recruitment, retention, provider satisfaction, and service line growth.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned departments, providing ongoing consultation regarding physician recruitment, onboarding, provider engagement, outreach strategies, market intelligence, and workforce planning.
• Partner with department leadership to support strategic planning initiatives related to physician workforce planning, provider engagement, service line growth, patient access, and local and regional market development.
• Track recruitment, onboarding, provider engagement, outreach, referral development, and provider reputation metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations for departmental and executive leadership.
• Analyze performance data and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, employment regulations, and recruitment best practices.
• Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
• Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
• Regular and prompt attendance
• Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
• Related duties as assigned
Additional Information
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in physician recruitment, provider relations, healthcare business development, physician liaison services, healthcare administration, or a related field Required
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple physician recruitment searches simultaneously. Required
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare executives, operational leaders, and community stakeholders. Required
