Responsibilities
In this role the Dialysis Technician will perform the following job duties under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse or Physician:
• Initiates and discontinues dialysis
• Assist with ancillary duties as directed

Schedule
FTE: .90 (3-12's)
Hours: 7:30am-8:00pm
Days: Variable
Note: This position supports dialysis operations at both the Downtown Campus and the North Campus . Candidates must be able to work at and provide support for both locations as needed to meet operational requirements.
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Licensure/Certifications
Required: BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
-Dialysis Technician Certification (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved state certification program or a national commercially available certification program) required within 18 months of hire or transfer into the position.
-EMT licensure may be substituted for two years of clinical dialysis experience
Experience
Required: Two (2) years clinical dialysis experience
Necessary Skills
• Ability to function in a high-volume, stressful patient care environment utilizing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Age of Patients Served: Adult (18-64 years) Geriatric (=>65 years)
