Responsibilities
In this role the Chaplain will perform the following job duties:
• Responsible for providing pastoral care coverage, which includes both timely response to pages, referrals, and all Traumas, as well as proactively rounding on patients, guests, and staff.
• Provide emotional and/or spiritual support as necessary for the patients, guests, and staff of UF Health Jacksonville Medical Center.

Schedule
FTE: 1.0
Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm
Days: Monday-Friday
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Qualifications
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED required along with one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in an accredited CPE program and or certificate of participation in a chaplaincy program.
Preferred: Bachelor's or Master of Divinity degrees from an accredited college and theological school.
Licensure/Certifications
Preferred: Denominational ordination and endorsement.
Experience
Required: Less than 1 year pastoral experience in both the church and clinical setting.
Preferred : Three (3) years parish experience and 1-2 years in a clinical setting.

• Excellent interpersonal, patient care, professional demeanor, and communication skills
• Spiritual care and counseling skills
• Ability to implement decedent affairs procedures
• Ability to understand, support and communicate institutional policy.
