Job description

• Assists in the creation and maintenance of a variety of surgical services data collection and reporting processes. Customizes reports as requested. Prepares reports as requested by surgical services leadership and Surgery Department physicians. Ability to interpret data and use statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
• Acts as a liaison for surgical services team members, physicians, and hospital teams. Effectively communicates with passion/PRIDE. Acts as an innovative resource and exceeds customer needs. Seeks out to develop knowledge base on upcoming business strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong/Advanced knowledge of and experience with reports and usage of applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, and any other future application deemed necessary for use by the Department of Surgery or surgical services areas.
• As part of the annual evaluation process, submits a list of year end accomplishments as well as goals that are reviewed and mutually agreed upon for the coming year.
• Personal/ Professional growth will be maintained through AHS OD classes, in-service education, conferences, and literature.
• Provides administrative support for the Department of Surgery and surgical services areas by assisting in department functions, special projects and business meetings.
• Other Tasks Which May be Required: Assist with any administrative task as deemed appropriate by surgical services leadership/director/chief of surgery, which may include, but is not limited to: booking conferences for staff, finding meeting rooms, creating letters, etc.
• High School Graduate or GED. Ability to read, write and speak English.
• 1+ years in administrative skills setting. Advanced experience with Excel and all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
