Job description

Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide*.
Primary duties include:
• Literature searches and information gathering;
• Making systems maps using kumu or word processing software;
• Summarizing information in written and visual form;
• Performing qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
• Word processing
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative skills
• Problem solving
• Rising Junior or Senior
• Completed coursework in environmental science or environmental studies (incl. chemistry, biology, earth science, oceanography, etc.)
• Knowledge of coastal ecology
• Completion of written research projects
• Knowledge of literature review process
• Experience with data visualization techniques
• Knowledge of social network analysis
• Familiarity with surveys
