Transportation Aide 1

Job description

• Transports medical equipment, mail, labs, blood products and supplies to and from various locations within the OHSU environment. These locations are, but not limited to: nursing units, diagnostic areas, clinics, exam rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, morgue or offices.
• Operates elevators for patient and equipment movement. Relieves elevator operators for breaks.
• Cleans and disinfects transportation medical equipment: stretchers, wheelchairs, morgue carts, HoverMatts, pillows and utility transport carts.
• Other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely transfer equipment, supplies, specimens and blood.
• Must be responsible and properly trained in the transportation of bio-hazardous items within 90 days of hire.

• Experience in safe transporting of specimens, blood products, equipment and supplies
