How you’ll contribute
As a Surgical Technologist at Highpoint Health – Sumner Regional Medical Center , you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care to the patients we serve throughout Middle Tennessee. Our Surgical Technologists are valued members of the operating room team, working alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, registered nurses, and other clinical professionals to ensure each procedure runs smoothly and efficiently.
At Highpoint Health, you'll have the opportunity to assist with a variety of surgical procedures while utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based practices. Our surgical services team supports both inpatient and outpatient procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries, helping provide exceptional care close to home for our community.
Essential Functions
• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the lab

Requirements
• Minimum of 6 months relative experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS required through AHA within one month of hire
