Job Type: PRN | Varied
Schedule: Varied shifts depending on department (Days or Nights), Work approximately 4 shifts per month, Available for a minimum of 4 shifts per month (2 of which are weekend shifts)

How you'll contribute
A Nurse Extern who excels in this role:
• Performs direct patient care under the direction, delegation and supervision of a registered nurse while monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition appropriately.
• Maintains positive professional relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and health care team.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for
• Applicants should be currently enrolled in nursing school and in their third years or higher of the program . Additional requirements include:
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• Required Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and sound judgment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment while taking appropriate action.
