ATLANTICARE _____________________________________________ROLE DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY Non-invasive Cardiology Supervisor directs the daily departmental activities to ensure efficient diagnostic testing operations that support quality patient care initiatives at both hospital divisions and Health Services offices This position ensures the efficient operation of the department by providing technical and administrative support to the Manager and staff. The Cardiac Diagnostics Supervisor assists staff in performing routine diagnostic exams, evaluates the quality of Studies and equipment, assists with staff evaluation and assessment, and coordinates staff scheduling and coverage. This position oversees the time and attendance function, in conjunction with other administrative and technical staff members. This position actively participates in and supports student clinical education activities. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: BLS required ACLS preferred. EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; must have a clear understanding of cardiovascular department workflows. Demonstrates the ability to train physicians, Cardiovascular Techs, Rn’s, Exercise Physiologist and support staff in an effective manner. Incumbents within the position will be trained appropriately and then full competency will be required for this position within 90 days from the date of hire. Excellent written, computer, and oral communication skills required. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping a, and crouching most the workday. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred.
