Registered Nurse - Critical Care Transport
- Winston-Salem, NC
- Full-time
Job description
What We Offer
Department: Critical Care Transport
Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: Full-Time, Nightshift (3pm-3am) - Self Scheduling
Critical Care Transport is a highly specialized team responsible for safely transporting critically ill or injured patients between healthcare facilities while providing advanced critical care throughout the transport. Rather than caring for multiple patients on a hospital unit, you'll focus your attention on one critically ill patient at a time, ensuring they remain stable while receiving the interventions they need during transport.
This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy critical care, thrive under pressure, and want to practice with a high level of autonomy while working alongside an experienced transport team.
What You'll Do
The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death.
The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
Why Choose Novant Health?
At Novant Health, we believe remarkable care starts with compassion for our patients, our communities, and each other. We value belonging, courage, personal growth, and teamwork, creating a space where everyone is respected, supported, and safe to show up as their full selves.
