Qualifications
Required Experience:
• Registered Nurse
• At least 6 months experience in a behavioral health or hospital setting.
• Clinical referral management experience or case management experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure/Certification:
• Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License
• Current CPR Certification
• CPI Certification

Job Responsibilities
• Timely processing of inquiry/referral calls.
• Responsible for reviewing incoming referrals from outside facilities for appropriate medical and clinical admission criteria.
• Thorough and accurate documentation of calls
• Ensure all required clinical documentation is received for accepted patients to include medical records, legal paperwork, required lab results and testing, and any supporting documentation.
• Develop professional relationships with behavioral health management teams at other facilities.
• Receive nursing report for incoming patients from sending facilities
• Triage walk-in patients who arrive for assessment
• Bed management to include real-time bed availability, patients pending admission, patients pending discharge. Use clinical judgement to determine the most appropriate bed assignment.
• Data entry of information in appropriate systems
• Verification of benefits for incoming patients
• Communication and collaboration with on-site Holly Hill staff and referring hospitals
