Locum OB/GYN Position in Petersburg, VA
Join our dedicated team at a premier medical facility in Petersburg, Virginia, offering urgent locum OB/GYN coverage. The practice setting is a well-equipped hospital with a focus on comprehensive women's health. Serve in a collaborative environment alongside a team of skilled professionals, including OBHG hospitalists and dedicated nursing staff, all committed to providing exceptional care to patients.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide OB/GYN care in a hospital setting, including 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Perform a variety of procedures such as C-sections, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, and management of abnormal bleeding.
• Manage an average of 20 patients daily in the clinic setting.
• Coordinate with support staff to ensure optimal patient care during labor and delivery.
• Participate in call rotation as per assigned schedule (1:4 ratio).
• Document patient interactions and procedures using the EPIC EMR system.
• Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists for high-risk pregnancies.

Qualifications:
• Board Certified in OB/GYN.
• Active Virginia medical license and DEA/CSR.
• Experience with a minimum of 50 deliveries in the past 12 months, including at least 15 C-sections.
• Ability to provide recent procedure logs for credentialing.
• Must have a clean background with no malpractice issues.
• Available for the specific coverage dates listed with no exceptions.

License and Certification Requirements:
• Active Virginia medical license - REQUIRED
• Active VA DEA and CSR - REQUIRED
• Board Certification in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
• BLS and ACLS certifications - REQUIRED
