Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cardiology Interventional Service

Job description

Advance Practice Providers on this service provide comprehensive care to patients who have undergone outpatient elective cardiac procedures including, but not limited to, ablations, rhythm studies, cardiac device procedures, cardioversions left atrial appendage occlusion, coronary angiogram with stenting, planned interventional valvular procedures (TAVI, MV TEER, TMVR, tricuspid and, pulmonary valve), septal ablations, PFO and more. You will work along side 5 other APP’s to provide acute post-procedure care to these patients who often same day dismiss or next day dismiss. You will participate in post-procedure evaluations, dismissals, admissions and occasionally transfers to higher levels of care due to complications.
This is a fast paced, dynamic practice that currently staffs four APP’s staggered with 12 hour shifts Monday-Friday, two APP’s on weekends. Overnight and holiday coverage is provided by other providers on a separate CV service.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as a ACNP or ANP.
Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice
Previous experience preferred but not required however inpatient graduate rotations at minimum are required.
