Job description
At Willis Knighton Pierremont (WKP), our 12-bed Stroke Unit is located on the 6th floor. Our support staff are an intricate part of our team! As a nursing assistant, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting nurses by providing direct patient care, such as assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, positioning, ambulating, toileting, meal assistance, recording vital signs).
Additional responsibilities include communication and collaboration with nursing and allied health professionals, regarding assessment findings, patient health concerns, and following the patient's plan of care. 1:1 monitoring education is required but can be obtained once employed. Hospital orientation, in addition to unit specific orientation, will be provided. WKP has a model of healthy work culture in which we expect and maintain a respectful environment for each other as well as our patients and their families in every form of communication and all interactions.
