Job description
The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale/Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Medical Dermatologist to join our Division of Medical Dermatology. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in complex medical dermatology, including immunobullous disease, connective tissue disease, and cutaneous lymphoma.
Mayo Clinic provides cutting-edge dermatologic care in a multidisciplinary, collaborative setting that consistently prioritizes the needs of our patients, particularly those with complex and serious dermatologic conditions. We seek an exceptional candidate who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care across the full spectrum of dermatologic disease and who values interdisciplinary collaboration. The position offers extensive opportunities for resident teaching, development of specialty clinics, and involvement in clinical and translational research initiatives.
Our academic practice supports a broad range of career opportunities, including education, research, administration, committee service, and interdisciplinary clinical collaboration. Opportunities to develop subspecialty interests and participate in innovative approaches to dermatologic care are encouraged and supported in alignment with individual career goals.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collegial department that currently includes 14 consultant dermatologists, including fellowship-trained specialists: 2 Mohs surgeons, 3 dermatopathologists, and 1 cosmetic dermatologist. The department also includes 6 residents and a dedicated team of nurses and support staff. The candidate will have opportunities to collaborate directly with Mayo Clinic dermatopathologists, surgical dermatologists, and medical and surgical subspecialists in the care of patients with complex dermatologic conditions.
The primary clinical site is located in Scottsdale, with a secondary clinic and inpatient consult service in Phoenix, approximately 13 miles apart. Our dermatology team is committed to clinical excellence, collaboration, education, innovation, and the well-being of both our patients and one another.
If interested in applying for the position, please submit a cover letter and current curriculum vitae for consideration.
Qualifications: Candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency prior to their appointment, be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Dermatology and be eligible for medical licensure in Arizona.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to academic dermatology through excellence in patient care, education, research, quality improvement, innovation, or program development. Individuals with interests in complex medical dermatology, precision medicine, clinical trials, digital health, artificial intelligence, translational research, or multidisciplinary care are particularly encouraged to apply.
Candidates at all academic ranks are encouraged to apply, with opportunities for academic advancement and development of distinctive areas of clinical and scholarly expertise.
