Job description

Position Summary
To provide direct, basic patient care activities under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse. To provide care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking supplies and equipment and the transportation of patients, supplies, equipment.
Core Job Duties
• Provides care to patients in an organized and systematic manner according to institutional policy in keeping with patient safety principles.
• Performs all clerical functions. Exhibits good organizational, time management and teamwork skills, which contributes to the management and efficient operation of the unit
• Serves as the main focus for communication in the nursing station regarding all unit patient care activities to ensure efficient coordination of the unit activities
• Demonstrates the ability and competency to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Delivers quality patient care under the supervision of the team coordinator and in accordance with the individualized plan of care to ensure the continuity of care.
• Communicates any problems, concerns or issues promptly to the nurse.

Minimum Requirements
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
• Previous clinical or hospital experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, as well as good computer proficiency, with excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull

Salary Range - $17.50 - $24.76 hourly (Based on experience)
