Technician, Stress Test

Position Summary
The primary function of the Stress Test Technician is to educate, instruct and set up and monitor the patient who is having a physical or pharmaceutical induced stress test. Performs non-invasive cardiac techniques including electrocardiograms, holter monitor application scanning, stress testing, signal averaging and all related studies. The Stress Test Technician must demonstrate knowledge and skill levels that permit quality performance and productivity in a patient oriented environment.
Core Duties
• Operates cardiographic equipment properly and safely.
• Demonstrates awareness of safety procedures for self and others.
• Replenishes and changes supplies in assigned areas as needed.
• Ensures equipment is in acceptable conditions by conducting routine quality control.
• Follows department standards for reporting equipment malfunctions or problems.
• Provides comprehensive care to patient requiring diagnostic testing in an organized and systematic manner according to department policy and standards.
• Communicates proactively to the health care team, plan of care, changes in patient’s condition and other relevant information.
• Documents emergency interventions according to policy.
• Accepts responsibility for appropriate and safe use of equipment and resources.
• Demonstrates the ability and competency to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements
• High School Graduate/GED/Equivalent work experience
• Graduate of approved School of CV Testing (Preferred)
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• EKG experience required

Salary Range: $18.04-$25.53 (based on experience)
