Job description

Ellis Medicine is seeking a full-time Physician Hospitalist to join our collaborative Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospitalist or a new graduate seeking a supportive, team-based practice with a predictable 7-on/7-off schedule, strong APP support, broad specialty availability, and no required procedures.
Our Hospital Medicine physicians care for a diverse inpatient population across approximately six units while working closely with APPs, nursing and consulting specialists. A dedicated physician admitter provides additional support each day, allowing rounding hospitalists to focus on ongoing patient care.
Position Highlights
• Full-time, 7-on/7-off schedule
• 12-hour shifts:
• Day Shift Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Closed ICU
• No procedures required
• Access to a broad range of specialty services

Clinical Responsibilities
Physician Hospitalists will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including:
• Evaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients
• Daily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans
• Coordination of care with nursing, APPs, consultants, patients and families
• Admission and discharge management
• Responding to Rapid Response events as assigned
• Participation in multidisciplinary care planning
• Appropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services
• Providing high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care

No procedural responsibilities are required, allowing physicians to focus on diagnosis, treatment, care coordination and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Recruitment Package
Ellis Medicine offers a competitive recruitment package designed to support your professional and personal transition to our organization, including:
• Guaranteed compensation of $382,200 with the ability to earn more through productivity
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
• $15,000 starting bonus
