Position Summary
The Nursing Clinical Timekeeper, reporting to the Director of Nursing Operations, works with department leadership to ensure accurate time keeping and assist in patient scheduling. The Nursing Clinical Timekeeper reviews records of hours worked through timeclock and paper documentation, ensuring that all time data is correctly processed for payroll. The Nursing Clinical Timekeeper also assists the outpatient infusion nurse with scheduling patient for infusions, navigating communications and scheduling with community-based physicians.
Department Summary
The Nursing Administration department works Monday through Friday on non-payroll weeks and Sunday through Thursday on payroll weeks. The department handles timekeeping for union nurses and clinical areas. The department also communicates/schedules as well as coordinates with internal and external physicians on outpatient care.
Qualifications
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Must be computer literate to complete task(s) as required. Such as Cerner (Hospital Support Software), Halogen (performance appraisal system) Relias (education system), Infor/WFM, ability to retrieve e-mails, complete online enrollment for health insurance/benefits and any other programs as assigned.

• Completes assigned pay sheets in a timely manner.
• Completes Infor/WFM timekeeper accurately.
• Maintains log and notifies manager of colleagues exceeding standards for tardiness and absenteeism.
• Monitors staffing data and prepares Nursing Reports.
• Assists in monitoring advanced clinical staffing needs of the hospital.
• Checks emails and online learning assignments on a regular basis.
• Will assume responsibility for all nursing units’ timekeeping when other timekeeper is not available due to vacation, illness, etc, including submission of completed payroll.
