Job Overview
Fairview Range is seeking a Temporary Certified Registered Central Supply Technician to join our Sterile Processing team in Hibbing, MN.
The Central Supply Technician plays a crucial role in the flawless flow of operations by efficiently processing and distributing stock supplies and forms to all nursing departments. Moreover, this role involves the meticulous cleaning, decontamination, assembly, wrapping, and terminal sterilization of all reusable patient care equipment, instruments, and supplies. Applicants holding current CRCST certification through HSPA will be seamlessly transitioned into a CRCST position. For those seeking to join our team without prior certification, comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to ensure success in this vital role!
Schedule: This is a temporary increase to 80 hours per two weeks, to be added to existing FTE within the department.

As a CRCST, you will be:
• Responsible for receiving, identifying, and decontaminating used surgical and patient care instrumentation and equipment.
• Verify instrument counts, documents and track missing instrumentation. Documents discrepancies on tray discrepancy form.
• Processes reusable instrumentation, utensils, scopes and other reusable supplies.
• To distribute and maintain appropriate supply levels on all patient care units.
• Monitor and maintain supply locations
• Performs cart counts as scheduled for each cart and/or bin locations.
• Operate sterilization equipment according to manufacturer’s guidelines; steam sterilizer, Sterrad NX, Dryer, Heat sealer, etc.
• Monitor and maintain precise sterilization records
• Inspects processed items and validates effectiveness

Required Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), Surgical Tech, or equivalent training
• Working knowledge of medical equipment, supplies and previous Materials Management experience
• 1 year experience in Sterile Processing/Decontamination, Surgical Tech or equivalent
• Cert Reg Central Serv Tech

Preferred Qualifications
• 3-5 years' experience Sterile Processing/Decontamination. Previous Materials Management experience
