Certified Nursing Assistant

Job description

• DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
• A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal patient care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse.
• QUALIFICATIONS
• Professional/Educational
• At least 17 years of age.
• Currently Certified by IDPH as a CNA, or successful completion of the first level of RN clinical education from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
• Personal
• Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.
• Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
• Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
• Ability to follow directions accurately.
• Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
• Possess the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
