Interventional Cardiology Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,390-$7,570
• Anticipated Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Contract Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
• Coverage Schedule: 12-hour day shifts within 24-hour on-call periods from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.; approximately 3-7 coverage days per month
• Scheduled Coverage Dates: November 23-26, December 1-4, and December 29-January 1
• Ambulatory Work: None
• Documentation System: Epic Cupid

Interventional Cardiologist Job Requirements
• At least 1 year of relevant interventional cardiology experience
• Board certification in cardiology or interventional cardiology
• Active Kentucky medical license; physicians with an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) pathway may be considered
• Active DEA registration
• Current ACLS certification
• Availability for the listed coverage dates must be confirmed during the submission process
• COVID-19 vaccination preferred

Interventional Cardiology Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage and respond to cardiology calls throughout the hospital
• Perform balloon angioplasty, coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), cardiac catheterization, and coronary angiography
• Provide general cardiology consultations as needed
• Interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and nuclear stress studies
• Evaluate and manage adult patients requiring urgent or emergent cardiology care
• Collaborate with the onsite cardiology team to support timely, high-quality patient care
