Behavioral Health Clinician - Days - Full Time - M-F - 9AM-5PM - Atlantic Health Newtown Medical Center, NJ

Job description

Responsible for providing short-term psychotherapeutic services including individual, marital, family and group treatment.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Develops written individual recovery plans.
• Engages to enhance functioning, effective coping, illness management, self-management, wellness and quality of life.
• Partners with patient's family, peers, para-professionals and professionals in supporting, monitoring and stabilizing consumers in the community.
• Participates in community events, human service meetings as appropriate or mandated.
• Provides case management services.
• Develops and maintains rich collaborative working relationships with hospital emergency departments, service providers, and agencies.
• Maintains timely and complete chart documentation.
• Incorporates use of criteria sets in context of utilization management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required:
Master's degree in social work, Counseling or related field
NJ State LAC, LSW, or LADAC required; candidates with a pending license or eligibility to obtain licensure within one year of hire may be considered
Preferred:
• NJ State LCSW, LSW or LPC license.
• Previous clinical or counseling experience preferred.
