Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine as a Technical Imaging Coordinator – Vascular in our Procedural Vascular Lab at the Hyde Park campus. This is a full-time, onsite position.
The Technical Imaging Coordinator supports the daily technical operations of the vascular imaging service. This role helps maintain imaging protocols and equipment quality, serves as a resource to technologists, supports staff education and quality improvement, and performs diagnostic studies as assigned.
Essential Job Functions
• Maintain and update imaging protocols and technical resources so staff can perform studies consistently and obtain quality images.
• Work with clinical leaders, educators, physicians, and staff to review protocols, resolve technical concerns, and support improvements in imaging practice.
• Monitor equipment performance and quality-control practices; report and help troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Support exam quality review, address identified concerns through coaching and education, and assist with staff competencies.
• Help prepare documentation and images needed for applicable accreditation and regulatory reviews.
• Support training when new imaging equipment or protocols are introduced.
• Perform diagnostic imaging studies as assigned, following department protocols and patient-safety standards.
• Assess patient needs, explain procedures, obtain diagnostic-quality images, and document studies accurately.
• Provide technical and workflow support to the team and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
• Experience performing vascular imaging studies and applying vascular laboratory protocols
• Strong communication, leadership, and teaching skills, with the ability to work effectively with physicians, leaders, and staff.
• Ability to maintain high standards of image quality, patient care, and professional judgment in a fast-paced setting.
• Current CPR and BLS training.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

Job Type/FTE: Full Time, 1.0 FTE
Schedule: Four 10-hour days, 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
Day Off: Negotiable
Weekend Requirement: No weekends
Work Location: Onsite, Hyde Park
Pay Range: $47.07–$62.79 per hour
