We are seeking a Teaching Hospitalist Physician to join our Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys caring for complex hospitalized patients and is passionate about teaching and developing the next generation of physicians .
The Opportunity
As a Teaching Hospitalist, you will provide high-quality inpatient care while working closely with UConn residents and medical students as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
You will:
• Provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients with a broad range of medical conditions.
• Round with and supervise residents while providing clinical teaching and mentorship.
• Participate in resident education, case discussions and bedside teaching.
• Collaborate with specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses and other members of the care team.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in the academic and educational activities of the Department of Medicine.
• Help create a supportive learning environment for residents and students.

Qualifications
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Experience caring for acutely ill hospitalized adult patients
• Strong interest in resident and medical student education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
