Position Overview
The Teacher is responsible for providing education to KidsPeace students within a highly structured, therapeutic, and safe classroom environment. This role works collaboratively with the Mental Health Worker to offer academic instruction as well as counseling support within the classroom setting. The Teacher also participates in family sessions, discharge meetings, IEP meetings, and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive treatment planning and student progress.

• Education level (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
• PA teaching certification preferred. Candidates who are willing to pursue certification will also be considered.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or appropriate discipline required.
• PA teaching certification preferred. Candidates willing to pursue certification will also be considered.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with acute, emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
