Job description

Your job is more than a job
🌟 Behind Every Credentialed Provider Is Someone Who Makes It Happen!
Love checking things off your list? Have a knack for catching the little details everyone else misses? Get a strange sense of satisfaction from tracking down missing information and getting everything squared away?
We might have just the job for you!
As a Payor Enrollment Specialist at LCMC Health , you'll play an important role in making sure our healthcare providers are properly enrolled and credentialed with insurance payors so they can focus on what matters most—caring for patients.
From navigating insurance requirements to tracking applications and solving enrollment challenges, you'll help keep things moving behind the scenes.
If you're organized, detail-oriented, and love a good problem to solve, we'd love to meet you!
💼 What You'll Do
• Coordinate provider enrollment, credentialing, and re-credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payors
• Track applications, approvals, revalidations, and deadlines to keep enrollment processes on schedule
• Work directly with providers to gather accurate information and complete required documentation
• Communicate with insurance payors to resolve enrollment issues, verify participation dates, and follow up on pending applications
• Maintain accurate provider records, electronic files, and CAQH profiles
• Partner with billing, coding, medical staff, and other teams to help prevent enrollment-related billing delays
• Monitor enrollment statuses, identify outstanding issues, and prepare reports for leadership
• Keep provider directories and enrollment information accurate and up to date
• Stay informed about changing payor requirements, healthcare regulations, and NCQA standards
• Help identify opportunities to improve processes and make enrollment workflows more efficient

⚡ What Makes You Great in This Role
• You're the person who catches the missing detail before it becomes a bigger problem
• You love staying organized and keeping multiple moving pieces on track
• You're persistent when it comes to following up and getting answers
• You can navigate deadlines, paperwork, and competing priorities without losing your cool
• You're comfortable asking questions, researching requirements, and finding solutions
• You work well independently but know the value of great teamwork
• You understand that accuracy isn't just important—it's everything!

🧠 What You Bring
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation
• Strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
• Willingness to learn and navigate healthcare insurance enrollment requirements

📋 Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) OR 2+ years of experience in administrative support, insurance enrollment, payor credentialing, billing, or a related field

🎯 Why This Role Matters
When providers aren't properly enrolled with insurance payors, it can create delays, billing challenges, and unnecessary headaches for everyone involved.
That's where you come in!
Your attention to detail, persistence, and ability to keep things moving help ensure providers are ready to deliver care and the organization can process claims accurately.
You may not be the person patients see when they walk through our doors, but your work plays an important role in supporting the care they receive.
💙 Keep the details straight, the deadlines on track, and our providers ready to care for our community!
