Highlights:
Summary : The RN - Dialysis shall be responsible to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments. This individual shall coordinate, delegate, and provide direct nursing care for patients by working cooperatively with patients, family members, and all patient care team members. The RN is responsible for the general supervision and coordination of the activities of dialysis nursing personnel in order to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education/Experience:
Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 1 year nursing experience required.
Licensure/Certification:
Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, Chemo, ONCC, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
• Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
• Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
