Surgical Technician - Operation Surgery at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Ensures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties.

Required Qualifications:
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technicians.
• Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Experience with proficient scrubbing in one or more: Complex Spine, Total Joints, Open Hearts (chest), and the Eye Service.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years of Recent operating room experience.
