Job Summary:
Join St. Elizabeth Healthcare as a Student Nurse I or II and gain experience supporting multiple specialty areas across the system.
Shift/Hours: Flexible scheduling available, including PRN opportunities.
Job Description:

Available Locations:
• Edgewood
• Florence
• Ft. Thomas

As a Student Nurse, you'll receive structured training, specialty-specific education, and hands-on clinical experience while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Gain hands-on patient care experience while applying classroom learning, building confidence and clinical skills, learning from experienced nurses, and preparing for a successful transition into an RN role after graduation.
What You'll Gain:
Training & Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Safe Movement and Responsible Transfer (SMART)
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI)
• UAP Orientation
• Phlebotomy and 12-Lead EKGs

Hands-On Clinical Experience Gain valuable bedside experience providing direct patient care, including:
• Bathing, feeding, and personal hygiene assistance
• Mouth care and peri care
• Monitoring and documenting intake and output (I&O)
• Positioning, turning, and ambulating patients
• Bed making and maintaining a safe patient environment
• Clinical documentation and patient communication

Qualifications:
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
• High School diploma or GED
• Currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited nursing program
• Successful completion of first clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2.75 GPA
• Not listed on Kentucky or Indiana Abuse Registry

Specialized Knowledge:
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
