GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Student Assistant assists trained personnel in an effort to facilitate acquisition of technical skills and perform/practice beginning level skills in the student’s area of instruction.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• *Carries out assigned duties as prescribed by supervising faculty and/or staff. (See addendum for specific job assignment.)
• Performs assigned work tasks under the direction supervision of instructional staff.
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
In addition to the principal job functions contained on the primary job descriptions, the following duties are also required in the department noted above.
• Assists with set up and tear down of Nursing Skills lab simulated clinical experiences, cleaning of equipment, and supplies.
• Restocks and replenishes supplies in the Nursing Skills Lab area.
• Assists with supply inventory and organization of the Nursing Skills Lab.
• Works collaboratively with the Nursing Skills Lab coordinator on assigned duties.
• Assists with clerical tasks for the Nursing Skills Lab, such as making labels, photocopying, etc.
• Reports concerns with equipment or Nursing Skills lab usage to appropriate College personnel.
• Assists with recruitment events at the College that involve the Nursing Skills lab.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be a student currently enrolled in a course of study at Bryan College of Health Sciences. Prior education and experience dependent upon specific assignment.
