Novant Health's Asset Management Company (NAMCO) is hiring a Senior Investment Analyst OR an Investment Analyst! We welcome candidates with a range of investment experience and will determine the appropriate title and level (Senior Investment Analyst or Investment Analyst) based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and background.
The Senior Investment Analyst is an experienced investment professional responsible for monitoring and managing an existing portfolio of private equity, private credit, real estate and real assets fund investments, as well as underwriting and recommending new fund investments for the portfolio. The Sr Analyst is experienced in private fund diligence, investment reporting, financial modeling, market analysis and research, and fee and expense analysis.
The Investment Analyst supports the management and oversight of the NAMCO’s investment portfolio to help advance the organization’s mission and long-term financial sustainability. This role conducts investment research, monitors portfolio performance, evaluates investment managers, and provides reporting and analysis to support investment decision-making.

What You'll Do
Senior Investment Analyst:
• The Sr Analyst participates in discussions regarding portfolio composition and construction, potential asset/investment managers, and macro-economic conditions (including potential impact on the portfolio).
• Novant Asset Management Company (NAMCO) requires the Sr Analyst to work collaboratively with internal team members as well as external parties to further the success of the private markets portfolio as well as the broader investment program.
Investment Analyst:
• Responsible for reporting, financial modeling, research, market analysis, fee and expense analysis, manager due diligence and various ad hoc projects based on defined investment objectives.
• Supports efforts related to overall operational management of the Plans (e.g., custodial relationships, internal reporting, transaction processing, timely payment of expenses, cash forecasting, budgeting, etc.), investment performance analysis and analytics development to formalize decision making process.
• Researches and analyzes data to support the senior Investments staff in making critical investment, portfolio management, hedging and strategic planning decisions
What We're Looking For
Senior Investment Analyst:
• Education : 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Math or other related field, required.
• Experience : 4 years of relevant experience in private markets at endowment, foundation, pension, fund-of-funds, investment banking or asset management firm, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Chartered Financial Analyst - possess or actively be in the process of earning CFA designation, preferred. Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst - possess or actively be in the process of earning CAIA designation, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required):
• Solid communication and presentation skills with a firm understanding of the financial markets and investment environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg, MSCI Private i, Custodian system, etc.
Investment Analyst:
• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.
• Experience: No experience is required, however, 3 years of relevant experience in Investment Management at an endowment, foundation, pension, fund-of-funds, or asset management firm is preferred.
• Licensure/certification/registration: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA): will possess or actively be in the process of earning CFA designation, preferred.
• Additional skills required:
• Good communication and presentation skills with a firm understanding of the financial markets and investment environment
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Bloomberg, Risk systems, Custodian system, etc.
• Knowledge in statistical modeling, analytical and programming skills (Python, MATLAB).
