Senior Plumber

Job description

Performs maintenance and repairs on hospital piping systems including domestic water systems, closed loop hydronics systems, medical gas systems, along with associated equipment for those systems such as pumps, backflow preventers, heat exchangers, valves, traps, and fixtures. Plans, estimates and performs project work of the same systems. Ensures that all installations and maintenance activities are per applicable codes. Functions as department subject matter expert (SME) for plumbing services for operational and capital projects; as well as supporting and advising other members of the facilities engineering department team in their plumbing related work. Respond to work orders as a general member of the facilities team, regardless of scope or category of work.

Required qualifications:
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Backflow Certification (Facility Managed).
• 4 years Journey-level experience as a plumber.

Preferred qualifications:
• Upon hire: Med Gas Certification
