Position Purpose
The Senior Manager for Design and Construction Projects assists in the establishment, maintenance and plan for implementation of Corporation wide building design standards that meet Operations and regulatory requirements. This position supports field operations in identifying & quantifying capital project scopes and budgets. This position provides project management for implementation of approved capital design and construction projects. The Senior Manager for Design and Construction Projects provides design & construction guidance & support on Home Office development projects and assists field operations in maintaining the Home Office design & construction standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
• Works with Operations to identify and quantify project objectives and scope.
• Assists in analyzing and budgeting same store development opportunities.
• Implements Home Office design & construction standards.
• Provides project management services on capital improvement and development projects.
• Manages design consultants, owner consultants, contractors and project schedules.
• Assists in the required regulatory notifications regarding project costs and schedules.
• Schedules and holds year-end warranty/follow up meetings.
• Assists field operations in the compiling of construction documentation for their files.
• Keeps up-to-date through periodicals, industry-related materials and associations.
• This position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL

License or Certification:
• NCARB certification preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
• College degree in Building Construction, Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction field with strong emphasis in Preconstruction Services or Estimating.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
