Description:
Position Purpose
Holy Cross Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Acute Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). In this role, you will oversee patient care delivery, support frontline colleagues, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and service excellence.
Working closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams, the Nurse Supervisor helps ensure exceptional patient outcomes, efficient operations, and a positive environment for both patients and colleagues while advancing the Mission and values of Trinity Health.
What You Will Do
As a Nurse Supervisor, you will:
• Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Acute Cardiac IMC during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate patient care delivery, staffing assignments, and daily workflow based on patient needs and unit priorities.
• Support, mentor, and supervise nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Promote evidence-based practice, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing colleagues.
• Assumes responsibility for a patient assignment of up to six (6) patients when staffing needs require, while maintaining oversight of unit operations, patient flow, quality, and team support
• Assist with colleague onboarding, education, coaching, and professional development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, teamwork, and service excellence.
• Support departmental goals related to quality, patient experience, workforce engagement, and operational performance.

Shift: Full-time; 36 hour night shift
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum three (3) years of acute care nursing experience with a focus in cardiac, telemetry, step-down, IMC, or related clinical areas.
• National nursing certification in a related specialty or willingness to obtain within 6 months of start.

Preferred
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related advanced degree.
• Previous Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, or leadership experience.
• Experience in cardiac intermediate care, telemetry, progressive care, or critical care settings.

Pay Range: $39.47 - $61.20 per hour
Pay is based on experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be compensated on a salary basis equivalent to the stated hourly range. Geographic differentials may apply.
