The Registered Professional Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The RN assesses patient needs, develops and implements nursing interventions, evaluates outcomes, and involves patients and families in the plan of care whenever possible.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Assesses patients and identifies actual and potential health concerns.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized nursing interventions and plans of care.
• Engages patients, families, and significant others in care planning and decision-making.
• Supervises and directs care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel.
• Assigns and delegates care to qualified members of the healthcare team.
• Coordinates patient care across healthcare professionals and disciplines.
• Serves as a patient advocate and promotes safe, compassionate, and innovative patient care.
• Participates in unit-based activities that support a positive and professional work environment.
• Demonstrates autonomous and accountable nursing practice while fostering trust, teamwork, and collaboration.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education
• BSN preferred at time of hire
• Nurses hired without a BSN must obtain a BSN within three (3) years of hire

Licensure & Certification
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
• Professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire
• Nurses hired without professional nursing board certification must obtain certification after two (2) years of hire , or once eligible for certifications requiring more than two years of experience

Motor Vehicle Requirement
• This position does not require operating a vehicle for assigned business purposes
