Essential Functions
• Receive prescription orders via fax, electronic transmission, or paper.
• Read, interpret, and data-enter prescription orders.
• Process refill requests when requested by patients or providers.
• Adhere to safety and privacy practices in order to ensure quality care for patients.
• May place drugs into stock, but may not count, fill, or otherwise remove prescription drugs from stock.
• Provide customer service in-person and via phone calls in a respectful and courteous manner.
• Triage requests and prioritize them
• Ensure non-prescription stock is neat, in date, and stocked to meet the public’s needs.
• Assist patients in finding non-prescription medications and selling both prescription on non-prescription medications to patients.
• Refer patients to the pharmacist for consultation in accordance with pharmacy regulations.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
1-3 years customer service experience preferred. Basic computer skills, typing 35+wpm, Microsoft Word, and Excel knowledge preferred. Pharmacy experience preferred. Cash-handling experience preferred.
