Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our day shift team on a PRN bases. The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, including respiratory assessment and monitoring, respiratory treatments and therapies, oxygen therapy, airway and secretion management, and respiratory support. The Respiratory Therapist works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, therapy disciplines, and other members of the transdisciplinary team to support each patient’s medical stability, rehabilitation goals, and safe transition of care.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required
• Previous respiratory therapy clinical experience or equivalent clinical training.

Preferred
• At least one year of respiratory therapy experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or a similarly complex clinical setting.

Education/Certifications
Required
• Graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy education program.
• Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Current RRT or CRT credential through the NBRC.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification.

Preferred
• RRT credential.
• AHA ACLS Certification.

Compensation
• Pay Range: $33.00-$50.00
• Night or weekend shifts are eligible for shift differential pay. Differential rates vary by shift hours and are added to the base hourly rate.
• This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market-competitive compensation.
• Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.
