Summary: The Research Protocol Office Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the research protocol office within an organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as health care administration, research administration, or a related discipline), along with experience in research administration and protocol management will be required.
Licensure: Certification through ACRP or its equivalent preferred.
Experience: Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills as well as familiarity with relevant regulations and ethical guidelines is required.
Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance standards relevant to the research field.
• Strong organizational skill to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in protocol documentation.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team of research coordinators.
• Ability to foster a collaborative environment within the research department and with external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles that may arise.
• Ability to effectively implement solutions.
• Ability to navigate an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other relevant software.
• Ability to make ethical decisions to ensure that research protocols comply with ethical standards.
• Ability to maintain required privacy of research subjects.
• Commitment to continuous learning.
• Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management for research protocols.
• Ability to assure the accuracy and integrity of research data.
