What We Offer

• Schedule: 7am-7pm, Full- Time, Day Shift
• Department: Emergency Department Behavioral Health , ED BH
• Location: Forsyth Medical Center – Winston Salem, NC
• 18 bed EDBH/observation unit

This role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate care to patients experiencing behavioral health needs while developing your emergency nursing skills and working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team.
What You'll Do
The Emergency Department Behavioral Health (ED BH) Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients experiencing behavioral health emergencies within the Emergency Department. The ED BH RN performs patient assessments, coordinates care, administers treatments, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to stabilize patients, promote safety, and support positive clinical outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
