Description:
Position Purpose:
At Johnson Memorial Hospital , the Registered Nurses (RN) in Geriatric Wellness unit specializes mental health care to elderly patients experiencing psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease. This role involves direct patient care, emotional support, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and compassionate treatment.
What you will do:
• Conduct mental health assessments and monitor psychiatric symptoms in elderly patients.
• Work closely with all physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, and therapist to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Minimum Qualifications
Required:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school
• Valid RN License in Connecticut

Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Psychiatric or Geriatric experience in an acute inpatient setting.
• BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Pay Range: $40.20 - $61.95 per hour
Pay is based on RN experience. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
