Registered Nurse – Cardiothoracic Surgery
Job Type: Full-Time | Days
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm; Fridays 8am-12pm (No nights, No weekends)

How you’ll contribute
As an RN in the Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery Clinic , you'll play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their surgical journey, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional cardiac and thoracic care. Havasu Regional offers comprehensive cardiovascular services, including heart surgery, interventional cardiology, vascular care, cardiac rehabilitation, and treatment for complex heart conditions, providing nurses with exposure to a broad spectrum of cardiac patient populations.
Essential Functions
• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given in the assigned physicians clinic.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Under the supervision of physician, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given. Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Effectively communicates and assists other nursing staff with delivery of nursing care; acts as a team leader/charge nurse as assigned. Problem solving reflects a calm demeanor with appropriate professional behavior. Promptly notifies manager of issues or concerns related to the department, offering suggestions for improvement when possible.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current Arizona or Compact State RN license with Arizona endorsement, and possess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
• Education: Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of beside RN required – Cardiovascular Thoracic, Cardiology, Telemetry or ICU experience; 2 to 4 years of critical care nursing preferred
