Responsibilities
The primary focus of this position is medication management for the Rheumatology department, with the nurse serving as an integral part of the patient care team. Responsibilities include:
• Clinical and administrative support to Rheumatology physicians in the hospital clinic.
• Manages drug prior authorization requests for specialty medications and injectables.
• Responds to EPIC in-basket clinical messages and refill requests.
• Handles complex follow-up coordination with providers.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and self-administered injectable medications.
Requirements
Education:
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam
License Requirements:
• RN license with the state of Maryland
Certification Requirements:
• CPR

Salary Information
Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
