Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Neuroscience and Pain Center (CPG)
Job Type: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule and no weekends or major holidays

How you’ll contribute
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
• Assists with patient assessment and performs clinical duties, including but not limited to, vital signs, pain score, medication reconciliation, review of all testing and H&P from last visit using EMR system.
• Provides direct patient care in a personalized, efficient manner with respect for spiritual and cultural differences.
• Triage patients’ problems via nurse line for either pain or neurology services
• Triage patients for pain or neurological services in a timely manner for physician exam
• Assists physician with patient examination as needed
• Provides patients with educational material
• Triage patient phone calls via Nurse Line
• Faxing patient prescriptions to pharmacies per physician request
• Address daily the nursing levels – for charges to be completed
• Reviewing problem patient charts with physicians
• Schedule injections per physician’s requests
• Medication authorizations
• Discharge patients from the clinic for “non-compliance with narcotic agreement”
• Working with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Medication Authorizations

MRI Authorizations work ques
• Rotate between Pain and Neurology as needed per vacations
• Stock rooms with supplies (towels, linen, paperwork in folders and any medical supplies)
• Team Player

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current state LPN license and graduate of an of a program for licensed practical nurses. Additional requirements include:
• Willing to learn and adapt to an out-patient office setting (clinical experience accepted)
• One to two years’ experience in an out-patient office setting preferred
• CPR Certification
• Active Pennsylvania LPN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, the license must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
