Job description
POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Infusion Clinic, ensuring efficient patient flow as well as quality of care. Clinical and administrative duties are to be performed independently with minimal supervision. All patient care decisions shall align with the State Board of Nursing, the Nurse Practice Act, and Nursing Standards of Care. Responsibilities shall be maintained strictly within the approved scope of practice.
MINIMUM MANDATORY qualifications
Experience:
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Associate’s Degree (or higher) in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
• Current and valid nursing license in the State of New Mexico, or compact state.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Adherence to HCMC policies surrounding patient safety, infection control, and HIPAA.
• Skill in oral and written communication in dealing with a variety of individuals.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable to the dynamic needs of a rural healthcare setting.
• A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
• BLS
Preferred qualifications
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish languages.
• Bachelors in Nursing preferred.
