Our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York Program provides therapeutic care to children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Location in Red Hook, NY, this position is responsible for administering medical care and prescribed treatments and medications to individuals in their assigned programs in accordance with established nursing standards and procedures. The Registered Nurse will be knowledgeable of Federal and State regulations as they pertain to Residential and School programs, They will develop, monitor, and update individualized health care records and plans consistent with all appropriate regulations for the program setting (this includes medical history, drug reactions, allergies, prescribed medications, immunizations records, etc.). In addition, the Registered Nurse will ensure that medications are administered as prescribed and that Approved Medication Administration Personnel are supervised and their certification is maintained as required by regulations and agency policy. They will act as the primary liaison between program employees, medical providers, and families/guardians regarding health care coordination.
Salary: (commensurate with education and experience)
With AA/AS: $81,020.19 - $86,691.60
With BA/BS: $83,100.19 - $88,917.20With MA/MS: $85,180.19 - $91,142.80

Qualifications
Education: Associates degree or BS in Nursing and successful completion of the State Board Examination for licensing.
Experience: Graduate nurse with RN license required. Some experience is preferred but not required. Devereux has a comprehensive training program.
Physical Requirements: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 20 lbs. or more.
Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization. Devereux fosters a culture of reporting abuse, and will cooperate with the authorities to the fullest extent possible.
