Pay Range*: $25.92/hr. - $29.31/hr.

Position Summary
The Receiving-Shipping Clerk performs the controlled receipt, accurate documentation, secured storage and efficient distribution of all goods and equipment purchased by the medical center. The Central Supply Receiving-Shipping Clerk is responsible for maintaining stock levels of all supplies in assigned inventory locations so that the warehouse and individual departments are never without supplies or below their designated minimum inventory par levels.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
• Approves or refuses the receipt of all-incoming merchandise, supplies and equipment delivered to the medical center.
• Investigates and resolves receiving discrepancies.
• Maintains, processes freight bills, packing slips and receiving discrepancy reports.
• Prepares accurate internal records of all pending and completed receiving transactions including damages, partial shipments, vendor returns and equipment shipped for repair.
• Utilizes and maintains purchase order files and purges closed purchase orders after 90 days and reviews the open files weekly with Purchasing department.
• Prepares items for distribution by identifying the requesting department and attaching a copy to the packing slip.
• Delivers supplies and equipment utilizing the pallet jack, hand truck and flat beds. Delivers to offsite locations as necessary.
• Secures and expedites the delivery of high-risk items, "rush" shipments and perishable products requiring refrigeration.
• Coordinates and schedules in-house moves and the pick up of items for return, repair or disposal.
• Central Supply Receiving Clerk performs daily cycle counts.
• Central Supply Receiving Clerk places received supplies on the appropriate shelf, rotating by expiration date.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
• 2+ years experience in receiving and shipping, medical distribution or medical warehousing preferred.
• Knowledge of receiving and shipping documentation, distribution systems, basic material handling techniques and inventory management.
• Experience and ability to utilize Materials Management Information System (MMIS) and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Education/Licensure/Certification:
• 1+ years in a related technical or vocational education preferred.
