Hannibal Regional is seeking candidates to join our new cancer center in Kirksville, Missouri. This is an opportunity to help establish and grow cancer care services close to home for patients throughout northeast Missouri.
Anticipated Start Date: Mid-2027
We are recruiting in advance of the center’s opening, with employment anticipated to begin around mid-2027. Start dates will vary by position and may include time for orientation, training, and preparation before patient services begin. Candidates will receive updated information throughout the hiring process.
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the safe and effective operation of equipment used to deliver ionizing radiation for the treatment of neoplastic diseases and other medical conditions requiring radiation therapy. Administers prescribed radiation treatments in accordance with the orders and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Performs all necessary pretreatment procedures, including patient simulations, treatment planning preparations, and the fabrication of immobilization and treatment devices.
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved educational program, with a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree.
• Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Demonstrates the knowledge, technical skills, and clinical competency necessary to perform radiation therapy procedures safely and effectively.
• Possesses the experience and capabilities required to perform assigned duties, as determined by the Senior Radiation Therapist and Radiation Oncologist.
