Weekend Coverage Pulmonary Physician – Hospital Consults
PIH Health is seeking a Pulmonary Physician to provide weekend hospital consult coverage at our growing health system. This is an excellent opportunity for a General Pulmonologist or Interventional Pulmonologist who is interested in providing inpatient pulmonary consultation and collaborating with hospital-based teams.
Position Highlights
• Weekend hospital consult coverage focused exclusively on inpatient pulmonary consultations
• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions
• Provide pulmonary recommendations in collaboration with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, and other members of the care team
• Consult on new and established pulmonary patients during weekend coverage
• Opportunity to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary hospital environment
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities associated with this position
• No weekday commitment required beyond the agreed-upon weekend coverage schedule
• Access to experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and hospital support services
• Practice within a well-established health system serving a diverse patient population

Required Skills and Experience
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease and/or Critical Care Medicine.
• California medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Candidates with General Pulmonary or Interventional Pulmonary training and experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Compensation Range:300K-420K Annually
